Wow, those are serious looking works of art right there.

is there a functional difference b/w Leather-lined-Kydex vs Kydex-lined-Leather?

they both look great, and I suppose the Leather-lined-Kydex is easier on Satin.

but is there something else I'm missing, other than aesthetic preferences?

Very nice work Martin! I browsed your blog, do you provide pricing anywhere? Looks like serious one-off custom work.

I'm happy you're feeling better Dave, that was a close call!
I'm looking forward to sheath your BOSS Jack.

The leather protects against scratches, and the kydex gives it that klack. It needs to be treated as a leather sheath though.

With the kydex inside the sheath is waterproof. The inside of the leather is deep waxed and sees no abrasion. If the kydex is removable it can be cleaned out thoroughly if needed.

@ adrock1978, for pricing shoot me a PM or e-mail to m.c.c.swinkels@chello.nl

Thanks guys

yea, the leather liner is nice on the satin finish, and the kydex imo just makes it that more able to take a drop or scratches from branches, etc. The knife clicks in perfect, and would not pop out even without a retention strap, but not hard at all to draw out of the sheath. I know i keep saying it, but Im actually posting a review of it now, just taking me a bit. I love this thing. Reasonable price too, especially for sending it to the Netherlands.

I really like the leather lined kydex...

THe others ones look to have kydex liners. Do you line the kydex in those with leather too?

Real nice work MR.Swinkels:thumbup:

Just kydex.
The inside of the leather is deep waxed and sees no abrasion whatsoever as it's protected by the kydex. That makes these pretty much waterproof.

The leatherlined kydex should be considered a leather sheath and more care is needed.

Martin's work is soooooooooooooo fantastic..........holy drool batman
