For the last 5 months I am torituring my PM2
I am kind of a fan of the PM2 and as I am working at refurbishing a new house I decided to put it on the test and to do everything I can with it, even if it is not supposed to be done with a knife
Did I need a tool, if I don’t had one at hand I used my PM2

It really performed better than I can have imagined

I am so excited that I feel in the mood of doing the same with another knife

I first though to a DPX folder but I think a military or a manix 2 or even an endura 4 can be worth trying

My PM2 is a s30v black/black

I like DLC, choil, g10 ...

What would you recommend?

Manix 2, Native 5, Shaman. Maybe a Millie if you like the profile, quite similar to the PM2.

The Manix II Lockback is a great suggestion IMHO ... I haven't owned a Shaman but the Native 5s are some of my favorite Sypdies and the Shaman seems to be an upscaled Native 5 so it might be a good choice.

Gayle Bradley 2 or 1 if you can find one.

I really like the Manix for robust use. It is my go to workbench knife. Full liners with lots of jimping makes it feel good and secure no matter how greasy my hands get.

Shaman looks great !

I have seen a 52100 version of the manix
Is this a good steel for hard use?

Yea, should be pretty tough. Sharpens great too.

The drawbacks are it will rust.

No big deal. Just keep it dry and enjoy the patina over time.

Get a big boy knife, Spyderco Starmate, 3.75" blade, 4.7 oz of pure joy!

If you are looking for a “hard use” Spyderco an all time favourite it the Gayle Bradley 1. The GB2 is pretty tough too but not at the level ofnthe GB1.

Then there are knives like the Spyderco Tuff or the Spyderco Tatanka if you want something really big. On the small side of things there is the Spyderco Techno which is quite tough for a little guy.

The Sabotage that is supposed to come out later this year looks like it will be an absolute beast.
