Recommendation? Hard use spyderco

I finally received my GB2 and I am working with it for 3 days know
IMO not as robust as other knifes I have and not the best EDC knife one can dream of due to the strong detent of the lock bar and M4 is way too much non-stainless for food prep

.. but what an impressive work knive!
Put some gloves and the feeling of the knife change from good to great!
The grind is fantastic, especially on wood, and the laminat CF is more a G10 than a CF

Very satisfied buy this new comer.

Thanks you very much for the recommendations to all of you ;)

This has been a very interesting thread with some really good entries but I'm just a bit disappointed in some ways. First of all I'm really baffled that no one mentioned the Chinook model. My favorite out of all the Chinooks is the Chinook III. Also the limited run of the G-10 Endura I was told some time ago is a good hard use Spyder.

I'm going to add another one that I'm currently petitioning Spyderco to bring back to the line up after a long absence which is the old, Late 90s G-10 Harpy model. I carried and used one of those for almost 6 straight years before I got it stolen . But I want to see the return of the G-10 Harpy again and I bet a lot of people will use it for hard jobs.

Not trying to be redundant but the GOLDEN made NATIVE model is hard to beat for a really dependable hard use model. Great Thread!

Yes! This is my favorite model and I have or have had too many different models to count. I just wish they would give the Native and Native LW some tough steels to match! Cruwear, 52100, 3V and 4V need to all be put into Native and Native LW form. M4 in a Native LW as well.

Another vote for the Native 5. I've become really fond of the LW modes lately, especially the S90V exclusive. :)

I generally don't trust folders with framelock or linerlock as hard use knives. Lockback, CBBL, and compression lock would be fine. So yeah - I'd pick any variants of Manix 2 (also due to its strong blade tip). Never owned Shaman but it looks to be a hard use folder too.
