Hard use teeth.

Thanks Carl. Your story reminds me of an old man I dearly loved.
My Pop Pop carried his TL-29 as long as I remember. He did everything with that knife.

Great story as always, Carl. It sort of re-enforces to me that I'm doing the right thing in selling off all the plastic one-hand wonder knives that have been sitting in my sock drawer. Just one more to sell. That's right - I'm getting rid of all my "hard use" knives. ;-) How ever will I get by with just a soddie jr. or SAK or Old Timer or trapper in my pocket!?

Carl. Fantastic as usual.
Reminded sligthly about an old story I read about a father, a son, a peanut and a old pistol, meating som punks on a fishingtrip, I read long time ago written by a fantastic auther that havent been published in the way he should.

mnblade- I dont know much about those black harduseknifes but I have heard they are made of fantastic wearresistant materials that make them holding up for pocketwear almost for ever. I dont know much about harduse eather, for me its most important that they hold up for oftenuse and as long they dont fall apart its good that the materials show a little of that oftenuse.

I never really warmed up to the TL-29. I bought a carbon version before Camillus went under and gave it to my father after carrying it a few days. I've been carrying an Ontario US GI Camp knife for the past few weeks and love it.

great story, can't stand people treating older folk like crap, really pisses me off and happens way too often.

Great piece Carl. Good to see Walt's inspiration here too.

Thanks for bringing that one back TOG!
It was from long enough ago, that I laughed like it was new!!:D
One of your greats, Carl!!!
