Hard-user needs a good Syderco beater.

The G10 manix 2 is S30V but the lightweight is CTS-BD1. As for what lock is stronger- bolt action vs. CBBL, that's pretty much a moot point as they are both already over engineered, if your choice is dependent on lock type then just go with personal preference, neither will be a wrong choice.

I would say the Manix 2 or Para 2 without getting too expensive at least compared to the Tenacious. I think their other knives will handle the same amount of abuse, but the blade may not be beefy enough for what you like. So those are my top two choices for staying under the $125 range Manix you can find for around 75$ and would maybe be a better option plus it has good steel and the lock is basically an axis lock.

the manix 2 was my initial thought, but the gb would work amazing too! (as would many spydies)

I'm leaning towards the Manix 2, especially since it's form roughly resembles the Tenacious.

Im not a tradesman but my father was a Steamfitter. For one of his birthday's, I bought him a Delica which he used and abused to a point it should've been a crime. When he passed my mother kept it and uses it for around the house chores. Could you believe the blade though never sharpened is still a good cutter? The Delica....the knife that won't die.

The Manix2 is comparable in size to the Tenacious, but has a shorter cutting edge (choil). However, the Manix2 also has, IMO, the more comfortable handle. I think you'll like the Manix if you're okay with sacrificing some cutting edge.

I don't mind sacrificing a bit of cutting edge for toughness. In fact, I cut with my work knives less often than I use them as aluminum scribes...

Another vote for the Manix 2. Great knife, and tough as well.
