Hard Wear series actually back?

Let's not turn this into a school yard fight. The specs were NOT up beforehand and because of this thread I let my wife know about it immediately. She handles the website and put the specs up for everyone.

fwiw- I have rediscovered the lock-back folder. It's such a great design; simple and strong.
I am really looking forward to my Hard Wear Reliant.

RevDevil has this way of getting under my skin, he is one of those people who thinks he know everything. I am one of those people you call a fighter, if I know I am right, or the cause I am fighting for is right. I fight, and do not back down.

Pardon me I am not politically correct. As your explaination up above said, only the pictures went up first only. I called EKI to ask about specifications, and mention to the guy I spoke with that it would be nice if the specification were also on the page.

Apprently my comments were heard, so I hope the sale of the product goes well. Still love those "7's", or lucky sevens as I call mine.

Know one wants to scroll through pointless posts of people "fighting." I suggest you talk through private messages instead of filling up threads with back and forth BS. I understand you were upset about the specs not being up but is really necessary to fight over who's right?

btw- Hard Wear knives with other colors in handles would be very cool.

RevDevil has his private messages turned off & I wonder why. I was never upset over the spec not being on the up on the EKI web-site, as I said I called EKI to ask, and the guy I spoke with said he did not realize the specs were not on the web page.

What I was upset about was RevDevil's comments, he came to the thread late and acted like he was a god of knives. Knowing that because he could see the specs after the fact, I had a vision problem.

BTW when I was a kid I never ran from a bully, I fought, sometime won, sometimes lost, but most of the time the bully did not want to fight again. Great thing about our Boys Club they has a boxing ring, and gloves.

Last my PM's are on, so occassionally I do get a PM from RevDevil, but can not reply to his PM's because the line of communication only goes one way to me. So I can not PM RevDevil back, maybe RevDevil need turn on his PM's JMHO.

Back to the topic.

Lycosa different colors would be cool.

Akapenny, you order one? Being lock back should be good for lefty use. Did you find out if clip reversible?

Different colors would be a winner. I have two teenage daughters than love pink, hate G-10, and are more comfortable with lock back folders.

The but with the idea of more vairations is because the knives are made by a Emerson Subcontrator, I am sure there are minimum orders in ever variation. This adds to manufacturing cost, and also cost of inventory.

Not like those knive made in CA EKI facility, where I am sure small changes like color of handle could be a snap, and only limited to raw material on hand.

I dream about Emerson doing a lot of Left Handed Version of current models, but understand in business, you aim to go after the largest part of the market. That being righty who are 85-88% of the people.

Start with the most popular colors; Olive, Coyote...
The lock-back folder is ambi, no?

I can PM Charlie (and have done so before, very nice fellow). The reason you can't and don't see the option is because of your free membership status. :)

The Hard Wear series is cool- definitely something I'd keep around the shop or the glove box!

Wow, I like Emersons, but I look at those knives and see what might be a big weakpoint in the blade right through that huge fingerhole.

You sure buddy? I've seen plenty of knives with those opening holes, and they've worked just fine.

Rolf, I too have admired that Reliant tanto for a while.

Pennypincher, I ask that you go check the exchange right now. I believe I saw a lefty 7 on the first page.

Thanks!^
Are you in? Do it.

I was thinking about it but I picked up a user CQC-14 a couple of days ago. I've always wanted the Snubby, and it's coming in tomorrow! I seriously can't wait.
