I have a fixed speed Hardcore and would love to buy the variable speed motor they offer. Anyone know where to get one?
Thanks!
Edit: I got no response to my email asking Hardcore.

is this the motor where the vs appears to be built in to the frame? if so i hope someone knows. i also looked many times for a similar motor.

Your existing motor should have all of the needed information on the nameplate (frame size/type mainly).

From there it's just a matter of finding a 3-phase motor with the same specs and deciding what RPM you'd like. Then of course, you'll need the VFD.

I just realized you're probably talking about the specific adjustable speed Baldor motor they use, with the knob built into the base.

I think Baldor uses the same motor on their adjustable/variable speed bench top grinders, but I'm not sure I've ever seen JUST the motor and base for sale individually. You might try giving Baldor a call and talk to one of their reps to see if they offer it for sale on its own.

Call Tru Grit they are dealers for Hardcore. Scott might be able to help you out

Just bought a variable speed from Scott at Tru Grit yesterday, today the work bench restructure.

Yes, I'm talking about the motor with the built-in VFD.
I'll call Tru Grit and see what they say.

Reverse isn't for grinding standing on your head, silly!
It's for putting metal back that you didn't mean to remove.
