Hardening then Tempering Time Between Question

Here's what I do... I load up my oven with as many large chunks of steel (4" blocks, 1" bars, etc) as it will hold and still fit my blades clamped between angle iron. I have a laser temp gauge and check frequently and it seems to hole a fairly consistent temp (once up to temp).
