Hardness Tester Advice

I been thinking about getting a hardness tester. Just looking around on E-Bay and noticed this digital unit made by Mitutoyo. Anyone have any experience with a digital. My first thought was that a digital may be somewhat fragile. Appreicate any advice. Item # 3859790115
