I got it from ebay some time ago "as is". I'm giving up it for almost "free" but read below carefully.
This is portable model that needs drill press to mount in.
I could not make it to work reliably, it is giving pretty much the same result for different test blocks. I believe the tester needs new diamond indenter, or maybe I don't really know how to use it.
I spoke to PTC customer support and they quoted me $80 for inspection and $200+ to replace diamond head, if needed. To me, that diamond head does not look pristine.
I'm selling it as is, "for repair" - do NOT expect it to work out of the box. These things cost hundreds of dollars when working properly. You should be able to have it working for about $300.
One of the test block has mark 61RC. The other one does not have any marks. Both appear to be grinded/sanded and may not preserve original factory surface.
