Hardswoodsman Meet, Missouri

Awesome pics and videos. What a huge knowledge base there is there, some great teachers and great guys in general

It was great to meet you all, (even the canuks). It was a good time of learning, and alot of fun. All of the instructors were top notch, and the skills were astounding. "Lord willin and the creek dont rise"...I will be there next year!

I have taken his 101 class also, this is one of his new "custom" classes. We get to pick the curriculum. That ferro should last ya a while! LOL I'm glad you like it, and I'm looking forward to seeing the leather-work that you are doing for the TBT for me!

Terry is really cool for traveling all over teaching. I wanna take his Nav class.....

Im tellin you guys. Ive taken his 101, and his Advanced, and am almost through the Basic level of BushClass USAs online curriculum which he is lead instructor. I also had the pleasure of sitting through a few classes he taught at the Hardwoods Meet. He is a fantastic instructor. If you have the means, I cant urge you enough to look at taking a class with the Midwest School of Bushcraft. No question about it, regardless of your skill level, you WILL learn something.:thumbup:

Off my podium.....:D

Yep, Terry knows his stuff and provides great instruction. It would be good to work with him in a class/practice setting more. It always takes me a while before I trust folks on the instruction and I have learned to trust IA. I'd certainly endorse his class.

Josh, I'd love to come out, but June is solidly booked for me as I am teaching a field work class towards the end of the month. At the beginning of the month I'll be out in the field, mostly on Lake Huron. If I wasn't so tied up, I'd jump on the offer. I'll try to nudge Terry again this year about the feasibility of a winter course.

I am working on it boys. Thanks for the kind words also.

I hope all you Missouri boys are doing alright.

Prayers and smoke for the not so lucky ones. :(

We are fine. Had a bit of a mess to clean up in the yard, and spent quite awhile running a chainsaw clearing trees that were down all over town. My wife was on duty at hospital, so they were really busy, and my kids were all at school. Despite a total loss of the bus barn, and some damage to the middle school, there were no injuries at the schools.

It wasnt a big tornado, but it was big enough IMO....I was out in the garage listening to radio, and workin leather when it changed from sunny to dark as night. I walked out and looked up and was wondering why all these birds were flying in a circle. They wernt birds. It was roofing, sheet metal, and other crap. My pooch Stewie was in the garage, so I grabbed my bag and bottle and we went into the shelter. It was nice having that thing stocked with water and MREs and the like, cause I didnt have much time. Makes me fearfull of how those Joplin people were in the F5 they had.....This one was an F2 and it was loud as hell and snappin trees like they were nothing. After it was over and I went to check on some family, I snapped some pics of the outer areas of the main path. Nobody can get close right now, we have it locked down to keep out the idiots.

This is what it looked like before the door got closed. The tornado went up about a block from my house. It was like an airplane taking off over my house, dropping debirs as it went.

Glad you and the family are alright brother. I tried to call this morning, but it said your voice mail isn't set up..

That was you?!!!!! Im sorry man, I was on duty yesterday and running a call when you rang. I was gonna call back, but I didnt know who it was. I recently got a new phone(same number) and lost a bunch of contacts.

Thanks bro......I appriciate it.

Phone system in Missouri is all screwed up. text messages get through better than trying to talk if it is important. J I hope you can figure out a way to mow the side of you house.
