What are some thoughts concerning Harley Davidson's line of knives? I bought a couple on ebay Like the Wolf Pup with 440C blades, they seem like buck knife quality but i want to hear from others.

There have been quite a few over the years. Knives Illustrated had an article on them in about 1993.

I like Benchmade's Harley Davidson model 13100 hardtail a lot.

It's a sort of modernized Buck 110.

(It's the one in the middle in the pic below)

Though I agree with mongomondo that it's retail price is too high. To be fair, you can find it for $100 less than retail if you look around.

I own the Mini Hardtail and really like it. Its the perfect size. I didn't care for the skull logos on it though and I do find myself wishing at times that the body of the folder had some texture to it at least in places just enough to aid grip but otherwise its a flawless folding knife.

The ones from Benchmade are good quality, maybe overpriced.

I would say overpriced....you take that harley tag off and the price drops. I have held 2 and like the shape and the feel of the 13100 alot. Its a very practical design and good materials. Jut cant see payin for the logo. I own a victory so I guess I'll bypass these;)

Something about a bar and shield on ANYTHING that makes it waaaay overpriced.

I wonder if the Harley Benchmades are heavier and open much slower than all of the other axis locks?:D

Anyone have any experience wth the HArley Davidson Knives, especially the classic Lengend series, I just bought one on ebay with case for 14 bucks. Is it at least a decent knife?

The Harley knives are low quality, they are made by United Cutlery.

There are some new ones made by Benchmade, I think- but they are premium priced.

if you are referring to the benchmade line of harley knives, then i have no doubt they are as good as any other product they sell.

As I and others have already said, the Benchmade ones are great, but have a high (retail) price.

If you shop around however, you can get them for about 2/3 or less of the suggested retail.

FWIW, a Benchmade 13100 Hardtail is my current EDC.

However, IMO the cheap Chinese made ones are basically junk with the HD name slapped on.

That said, this is the second Harley knife thread you started in the last 5 hours, and at least the third one you did in the last few weeks. How about contributing to one, rather than just starting another one?

I have some HD non-benchmade knives that are 420HC steel and made in USA. They seem basically like buck knives with the HArley logo. I get decent deals with ebay but online they seem super expensive. The one i got today for 14 bucks, seems to go for 50-90 dollars..

Now concerning the multiple threads..if no one answers one day , I re-post the thread to see if different users want to chime in.. If multiple threads with the same question bother people, simply don't answer them, rather than pissy posts. thank u

the end result of this attitude is that eventually no one will respond to any of your threads.

you did this before, remember?

you don't have to start a new thread, just ask your new question in an existing thread or give the old one a bump.

How does one give the old thread a bump?..Then i won't have to restate threads...but agian...you don't have to respond to the thread if it annoys or bothers u, i would expect a level of maturity in here.

Anytime you (or anyone) posts a reply to a thread, it is bumped back up.

No offense intended, but using the "jerkit" icon is considered pretty immature as well....

You bump a thread by posting in it and it will "bump" back up to the top of the list of threads. Also you may want to start reading what you say, a lot of your posts do come off with a bit of a negative attitude, especially if you use a :jerkit: in every thread. ( :jerkit: You do know what this stands for right?)
Another recommendation is to use a spell checker.
