How does one give the old thread a bump?..Then i won't have to restate threads...but agian...you don't have to respond to the thread if it annoys or bothers u, i would expect a level of maturity in here.

Huh? Are you kiddin' me?

SuperAfro, you are asking people for help and have always done it in not the most tactful of ways. Even in this thread I'm surprised how much they have continued to help you and guide you with instructions even though you were carrying on in a spoiled, selfish manner.

Be patient when waiting for replies to your posts. This is a forum, not a service at your beck and call.

Afro, sorry if I "offent" you by saying you were carrying on in a spoiled, selfish manner. Yup, peace is best.

I have combined all three threads here, all the same topic, all current. Enough of this spamming the one question, shoving other topics off the front page. Enough of the jerk-it smiley, too, if you expect to be taken seriously. And if you don't care to be taken seriously, the merged threads will all end up moved to Whine & Cheese, so everyone else can respond in kind.

I already stated that i would try and relax, and basically chill, this is a sensitive room, so i am going to try anf not seem pushy or anything. So ur last post was not needed, I have moved on ..but thanks MOM

I'm not your MOM, I am your friendly neighborhood moderator. Play nice or find a less sensitive room to play in. I will not tolerate your mockery twice.

That's fine who or what u are..all i am saying is i already got the message prior to ur post, it wasn;t warranted. When i use this room, i never intended to come off pushy or impatient. I didn;t realize the icons had such secret meanings, I just used them for the fun of it, I didn;t realize its was going to destroy the fabric of this room.

As for the multiple threads containing the same info day after day, my theory was if on day one i didn't get any responses, I would repost another day to see if anyone new would respond, i didn;t realize I could repost the same thread. Instead of critizing people just explain to them how it works..its a forum room, i wish its was a little more relaxed its not life and death , supposed to be informative and fun..or so i thought.

I just came to this site to learn about knives and to score some knowledge not to piss people off, if i did i am sorry.

When you move to a new neighborhood, it's a good idea to learn your way around and listen to the way the people there behave in public before showing off your old ways.

This website is a simple visual medium. The words and icons are our means of communication. Using them as we do is the best way to be understood. The more idiosyncratic your style, the less likely anyone will bother to try to understand or cooperate with you.

If you continue to act like an immature fool, don't be surprised when you are treated like an immature fool.

And that's one to grow on...

I thought we put all this to rest..how many more lessons or comments are u going post

This forum is actually a lot more relaxed than most.

There's no need to repost multiple times because generally people won't post just to post something (like some forums where idiots will post no useful information just to be the first to post). It could take a day or two for someone who has an answer to see a thread. I suspect that most regular readers will scan through the first two or three pages to see what's going on and if there's anything they can respond to.

If no one had responded in a week, then I'd say it's fine to repost, or bump the original thread. Sometimes the forum moves so fast a new post will have slipped to page two or three within half a day. Sometimes threads get lost.

It's no big deal. Just sit back and get a feel for how things works and I think you'll see that this is one of the better forums on the net. It's by far the best I've ever visited, which is why I've been coming back for over four years and why there's still plenty of members who have been around for ten years.

Just hang out for a while, there's a lot to learn and a lot of good people to learn from.

My guess would be "as many as it takes for you to get the message". Take the others' advice and settle down a bit and your experience here will be a lot more enjoyable. Also, the mods here do a great (and often thankless) job of keeping this place reasonably free from the b.s. that pollutes a lot of other forums and are deserving of a little respect.

It is improper therad etiquette to start multiple threads on the same subject & against the rules.. Try reading the rules.
