Folks sometimes ask the purpose of a harpoon clip on a filet knife and I could answer that it gives the tip more mass, it helps to make plunge cuts and it effects the balance but I do it just because I think it's cool.

52100 high carbon steel
Slight convex grind
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles with attention to a fine grain throughout the blade
It does flex
Stabilized ambrosia maple handle
Overall length" 12 1/2 inches
Blade: 7 3/8 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry

Nice knife tasahbay, this one should work well. Catch'em up, you've got the tool for the job.

Always like your knives GL but this one is outstanding. Love it.

I have a 30 year old Rapala that I hope to retire with this knife. Never had a custom fillet knife and I clean fish at least once per week. Cannot wait to try this one out.
