Hi fellas, thanks for looking. Here's my version of a harpoon grind using an 8" wheel. The grinds are hollow ground at 80 grit, the flats are satin finished at 400 grit and then the whole knife is finished with ultrafine scotchbrite belt. The thong hole liner is an easton graphite arrow shaft in case you're wondering - I can sharpen the clip at the buyer's request. I paid too darn much for the stabilized turkish walnut but it sure is pretty! I hope you like it! Asking $225 plus $15 shipping/insurance. Paypal preferred to my account at tksteingass@frontier.com The first "I'll take it" gets it. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

5/32" Aldo's 1095 HC
HT in digitally controlled oven
Double tempered to Rc 60-61
11 1/4" OAL
6 1/2" Blade - concave harpoon grind
Black micarta dovetailed bolsters
Micarta pins - graphite thong tube
Red liners on straight tang
Stabilized Turkish Walnut scales
8/9 oz leather sheath (in process)

those are some nice looking grind lines you have there, I stink at hollow grind for some reason. I like the knife a lot, I have been into harpoon grind knives recently.

Matthew:

Thanks! If it's any consolation, I stink at flat grinding! Les Robertson asked me to make a couple D-2 harpoon grind hunters for his site and I got the idea to make a BIG one out of 1095. I like your harpoon hunters a lot - yours are very nicely done.

PM received - this knife is Sold. Thank you Dan!
