The Scorpion model harpoon is designed as an all-around tactical and hunting knife. The handle is angled down at about 8.5 degrees off the center line of the blade to give the knife a more natural extension of one’s hand. It’s made of 3/16 inch thick D2 tool steel and heat treated with a cryo step to hardness of 60 Rc. The handle of this Scorpion is black and red (the red looks more brown) linen Micarta scales that are bolted to the knife’s full tang handle with brass lined 1/4" diameter lanyard hole. The black leather sheath allows for optional carry on the right or left handed sided vertically or horizontally (scout) style.

Specs:
3/16 inch thick D2 tool steel hardened to about 60Rc..

Handle is black and red linen Micarta scales with loveless bolts and epoxy attaching the scales to the knife’s full tang.

Blade Length is 5.3 inches from tip to Micarta scale with dark flats and steel bevels.

Overall Length about 10.2 inches

Black leather sheath (shown) with multi carry set up allowing right or left or scout options.

SOLD Price is $165 plus $7 shipping

Cool! Are you going to be working with D2 more frequently now? If you figure it out like you did with 1095 this will be a lot of fun for us consumers. Thanks for posting this.

Hello Russ,
I playing around with D2 and made up a couple of these harpoons and several bushcrafters from the same stock. Also have stock size to make some paracord size blades and am also looking at S3V as a possible steel choice option to 1095. Kelley

Very nice blade. D2 is always a good choice. David Winston has lots of insight in the heat treatment that is not conventional wisdom.

Hello Neal, I've been away from the computer all day working on knives and just now seeing this. I will make sure the false edge, it not right now and it is available and I'm marking it SOLD. Thanks for taking another one of my knives Neal.
