Just finished this...

It's one that developed on it's own at the forge while working on something else. I quite like where it went and is unusual for me. It's quite a wide blade at 1 1/4" 'ish at the heel and quite thick at the guard but with the aggressive swedge and taper it balances at the guard. The top swedge is sharpened.

The blade is W2 with hamon and is a little under 4 5/8" with an OAL of about 9 1/8". The guard is wrought iron from an chain link, with copper accent spacer and 3500 year old bog oak for a handle. Bog oak always amazes me... how a piece of wood that is so old ends up on a knife I made... freaky.

I'll be working on a sheath tonight.

Asking $pf shipped.

Thanks.

Awesome to see the work you have been doing Stuart, this one is really cool.

I really like the transition on the blade from brut de forge to hamon to edge! Great work!

this knife is still here?!
raise the price by 20%, $435 is way too little

Thanks guys... Need this one sold so price is staying where it is... :)

What's the thickness on this one Stuart? Can you please post in-hand pictures?

It's .200" at the guard with strong taper to the tip.

Here's some photos in hand

and to show balance
