Harris publications out of business

After Houston Price of Knife World Magazine fame passed away a few years ago, Mark Zalesky bought the rights and is now publishing Knife Magazine. I'm a subscriber, and with monthly input from B. Levine, F. Trzaska, B. Voyles and the like, I'm all in. It's been a great magazine so far, and gets my strong recommendation. http://www.knifeworld.com/knifemagazine.html

I'm also a subscriber to Knife Magazine, and have ad space in it. I've talked to Mark numerous times, seems like a nice guy.

I sure will miss a lot of their magazines. I had a great relationship with Harris Publications for a long time. I personally know many of the staff, editor Steve Dick of TK mag. and the writers. Have even shared many a campfire with some. Recently have been doing some photography for Dan Shecthman's articles in American Frontiersman. Guess it's the way of the future.

It is good that there are other knife magazines still on the market, but Harris covered quite a few other special interest topics with their publications. The field of W&SS publications just contracted significantly.

I have been blessed to know Steven Dick online, and call Dan Schectman a friend. Through Scott Gossman I have met Tim Stetzer and Joe Flowers, and others. I really enjoy their work. Steven Dick is at Knife Magazine, Dan also writes for Backwoodsman. I wish that TK was still around, but I guess things happen for a reason.

As for books, I bought an old Kindle Fire from a buddy at work, but much prefer books. You can't beat stepping into an old bookstore.
