Why don't you have Phill Jr. make you one? Seems to me the design belongs to the Hartsfield family, no?

Steven- Po is a master grinder.
I was looking for a yoroi toshi style blade, like the Strongboy. I only borrowed the name. No offense to Mr. Hartsfield.

Good luck with Pohan making you a fixed blade....He has been folder maniac as of late

BTW.... I had a good time talking with Phil Jr at the Custom Knife Show last weekend. He invited me to stop by his shop and I am going to have to do that soon.

Hi Rolf....I dig Pohan....he is a solid person.....

I got what you are saying now, just sometimes people act like everything under the sun is open to appropriation and interpretation.....and that isn't how it is, not if you have integrity and honor.

Yoroi Toshi are about 8"-9", but some examples could be under 6", with a "tapering mihaba(blade width), iori-mune(steeply peaked spine), thick kasane(stock thickness) at the bottom, and thin kasane at the top and occasionally moroha-zukuri construction(sort of a daggerish configuration). The moto kasane (blade thickness) at the hamachi (the notch at the beginning of the cutting edge) can be up to a half-inch thick, which is characteristic of the yoroidōshi style of tantō. The extra thickness at the spine of the blade distinguishes the yoroi tōshi from a standard tantō blade.

Joe- I had a feeling you had one. Thanks for the pic.
Thank you for the info, Steven. You need a yoroi toshi.
Thanks for posting, Adam. Please say hi to Phill Jr. I did email him.

The Strongboy was one of my favorite Hartsfield designs, I owned a couple over the years. I would guess Pohan would do an outstanding job, hope it works out for you.

Thank you, Win.
Po will not be making fixed blade until next December. I can wait.

My favorite Strongboy and the one that I most regret selling was 3/16" stock. If I had one made, it would be 3/16", with about 4 3/4" of handle, prob brown / tan wrap, clip belt sheath designed to go between pants and belt. Just some ideas........

Thank you, Adam!
I am super excited about this knife.
Does anyone have an Aikuchi, by Phill? Post any PH knife pix, if you want to.

Thanks, Daniel.

You couldn't have picked a better maker for this style, Rolf, in my opinion.:) Adam's work is exceptional, and super clean!
