Well... I found a maker.
Thank you, Adam!
I am super excited about this knife.
Does anyone have an Aikuchi, by Phill? Post any PH knife pix, if you want to.

Here you go :)

Here is one you won't see every day

El Salvador Tanto

At the knife show Phil Jr. had the one that was shot. He took it out to show me.

It was pretty bad ass to see where the bullet hit

That's a great story

I have seen it also but it was over 25 years ago when I saw it

Thanks again, Joe. You PH junky. :)
Thanks for the story, Adam.
One more PH story. I asked Phill how did he come up with the Strongboy design. He replied, "I wanted to make a knife with the "whoa" factor."
Gotta love that! :)

Are Hartsfield Tantos hollow, flat or convex? I always assumed they were a flat grind to zero or maybe "rolled edge" but I really can't tell from the pics.

Thanks for sharing the pics JParanee!

Daniel- Mine were flat. My katana was slightly convex.
Do I have your interest?

I'm only slightly obsessed.

I was in the shop earlier finishing up a grueling day when I saw this chunk of .300" 6al4v Titanium bar... I though either I can chop saw it the easy way and get one tanto or hack saw it at a long angle and get two. I used the hacksaw, it was good. :D

lol!
You UNDERSTAND the chisel grind, Master Fairly.
You WILL make a blade, like the ones on page 110.
