Harumi Hirayama?

Hi,

I really like some of Ms. Hirayama's knives. I've only seen pictures, and I've never seen one for sale on the net - ever. Could someone give me a rough idea how much something like one of those below would go for?

I believe you would be looking at $1000-1500 for one of her folders, but I am going off memory from the last Guild Show I saw her at.

I heard from a friend through Anne Reeve that Harumi makes some incredible butterfly knives.

Anyone have a link to her website?

I dunno. But it wouldn't surprise me to hear of folders like the above being *well* over $3000.

There does not seem to be any prices, but there are some nice pictures of knives.

Yeah, $1,500 for one of those seems low. Maybe for some of the simpler ones. But then, all I've seen are pictures so... But they sure are nice.

The 2003 Knives annual states that Harumi Hirayama's knives start at $700.00. I am sure that is for a very basic knife and that those prices can go much higher.
