Wow, that is a STUNNING piece in every respect. Total Dean awesomeness. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I think that the mailman delivered it at the wrong address. Very slick looking knife.:thumbup:

that is one of my favorite D guard bowies I have seen in I don't know how long. I simply love it. Everything goes well together. Nothing clashes, the lines all match, and the colors all complement each other.

Beautiful Job Harvey & Steve! Steve What's the deal, I thought you had Harvey engraving his own stuff now! Sweet job guys, Dwayne

That's a great looking knife. I really like the damascus and the engraving is a good match for the knife, Jim Treacy

BTW, if you ever decide to ruin the secondary market, drop me an Email.

Best,

Wow!!!!!!!!!! that is what i inspire to someday be able to do Harvey's work is just so darn clean.

Oh yeah and incase you hadn't heard Harvey will be one of the presenters at this years Big Sky hammerin hosted by Josh and Jodi Smith. Harvey Dean, Tim Hancock and Larry Fuegen will be presenting this year not to mention the other MS's in attendance, Jon Christenson, Ed Caffrey, Wade Colter, Tom Ferry, Shane Taylor, Rick Dunkerly and some guy named Josh. Folks this will be my third year in attendance and i can tell you without a doubt this hammerin has taken years off of my learning curve. And this year we are going to test Josh's target stand to see what it can hold upto

Don't think we have to worry about that piece ruining the secondary market as it's obviously a piece that will demand top price.

Outstanding Bowie by one of the best maker/engraver teams on earth.

I think I'll just start copying/pasting whatever John White says :D

I couldn't agree more. Two finer gentlemen you will not find, and better work is not out there. Splendiferous.

Yes, I made that word up. ;)

While there are many fine smiths that make bowies I just drool over, the one guy that simpley always nails the profile and makes me think, "Ahhhh.... Yes.... THAT'S IT!"...... is Harvey. Something about the profile is just always so right.

His ladder patterns (this is a "modified" ladder) are some of the most perfectly executed out there. They've always got just the right shimmer.

Thanks for posting the pic of Harvey holding it, that is a nice touch! But where is his cowboy hat??? ;)

If I buy Harvey's D-guard video am I guaranteed to make one this nice??? ;) :D

Thank you for sharing!!!

btw- I bought dies for that pattern from Uncle Al last June... looks like I better use them.

You absolutely got that right. Taking nothing away from the more complex patterns that Harvey excels at, his ladder patterns never fail to stop me right in my tracks.
