Has anybody had a Tom Brown Tracker re-ground?

Try asking some of the custom makers here. I have always had god luck with makers as long as their not too busy. Brian Goode did the one I have ( did a serious regrind on the edge) for the guy who had it before me, so you may want to see if he's not to busy. Mike Stewart is a great guy to deal with also, I've seen work he has done to other co. knives for people , too. Both do great work. Steve

As I'm sure you can see by my limited number of posts, I'm somewhat new to this forum. Navigation through the various threads is not very intuitive and I have trouble finding specific people. That being said, I have two questions: First, can you post some pictures of your knife? I'd like to see Brian's work. Second, do you know how to contact him about getting the work done? Any help in the matter would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. - Lance

I don't have a way to post pics right now. Brian is a member here so you could make a post or send him a pm. He's a cool guy and makes some damn fine knives too. Oh Brian ... are you listening?LOL

Lance,

Alan did the work on my tracker. The photos don't do justice to the work he did. When I received the knife back from him he had polished the re-ground drawknife portion of the blade to where it looked like a wet mirror. The rest of the knife was covered with the factory tops coating. Doesn't take much use to tear up the epoxy finish so I stripped it and applied gun-blue.

Alan's work wasn't inexpensive, but I can't image dealing with a better person or receiving better quality. Kind of tough to request one of these metalurgical artists to try and clean up someone else's knife. Here is his link, Good Luck!

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered already, but how did you strip the epoxy finish on the knife Viking69?? The regrind looks great! Also, how did the gun blue work out...have any pics?? Thanks a bunch -Damion

here is one I reground this week. I make the edge thinner so that its easier to sharpen and less drag on cutting.

Hey all. Many have seen the WSK my brother did for me out of 1/2 inch stock and he just sold his first non family member knife. I will include two pics of his WSK knives and if someone wanted to pay shipping and handling he would most likely be very reasonable on a regrind or on making that special custom.
