This appears to be a Russian company producing mostly full tang fixed blades in D2, and AUS-8. They even have a few folders. I've seen a handful of post in their regard, but still they live in obscurity. I really like the looks of the Santi model fixed blade, in D2, it also sports a micarta handle which is a nice touch. The materials seem to be well thought out (some dislike AUS-8), but D2 is held in pretty high regard here. Micarta, and G10 scales, so what is not to like about Kizlyar Supreme. Note this is a different company than than the other Kizlyar knife company that's better known on these forums.

LOL I guess they need to work on their marketing a bit. Still, a lot of companies start out in the obscure. I was reading some knife rag, and they were advertising them in that publication, so somebody will see, and purchase them.

I've looked at their stuff online before, and watched/read a few reviews. The designs look nice, and all the reviews I saw were positive.

Sorry guys... These are not Russian knives.. Knives are designed in Russia but made in China for 100%... If you could read Russian I can send you some links to Russian forums. There are no D2 or AUS-8 steel in Russia :)

Interesting, though I had no dog in the fight really, I'm sorta disappointed. I knew D2, was an American steel, and AUS-8 Japanese, but I just made the assumption they imported the steel.

: registered in St.Petersburg, contact in California, made in... ???
Here( sorry, in Russian) http://forum.guns.ru/forummessage/64/1271931-m31936090.html - official representative confirmed that knives were made in China, Spain, Australia, Taiwan... Promised to start making in Russia, but have tons of doubts it could ever happen because of the Russian laws and definitions of civil, hunting kinves etc. so mean, on top of difficult export rules...
Regular standard Russian real "Kizlyar Samsonov" had to order from Germany...

I have the Kizlyar Supreme Amigo -- a small fixed blade knife. Very easy to carry EDC-type knife and surprisingly comfortable in the hand. Cheesy sheath with a big "Amigo" on it, but if you want an inexpensive fixed-blade that fits easily in the pocket, it's not bad.

Are they made in Russia?

I have a Santi in D2, fit and finish was awesome with a decent edge. I never got around to beating on it but my brother has. Really reasonably priced at I think 100usd.

Guys, Kizlyar Supreme knives are in fact made in Russia. I spoke with CasIberia who is the sole importer of Kizlyar Supreme knives and they assured me they are made in Russia. It even says made in Russia on CasIberia website under technical specs. Also, if you look at Kizlyar Supremes official website you can see pictures of there high tech manufacturing facility BASED in St.Petersburg, Russia. In the pictures its a bunch of white russians you see actually making the knives, not a bunch of chinese. Some of there folders have made in Russia stamped on the blades. They might have been made in China during the beginning, but not anymore.

Well, they want you to believe it's made in Russia.
None of these knives marked "Made in Russia."
Russians do not use nor import AUS-8 and D-2 steel, they have their own counterparts.
No one on Russian knife forums is in belief they are locally made - they are pretty confident Kizlyar Supreme knives are made in China.
It is not making them worst in the world, they are what they are.
Just hugely overpriced Chinese product.

Any chance they're pulling the Solingen trick, by manufacturing in china and then assembling in Russia?

Or like Boker making some Knives in china and outsourced abroad, but having some made in house?

I haven't bought one yet, but I like some of their folders, like the ute, and they claim to made with 440c, so I'm intrigued to know more... Not that china Is a deal breaker for me, just nice to know.

I think there's a lot of confusion between Kizlyar Supreme, Kizlyar and Kizer. They are three different companies. Kizer and Kizlyar are Chinese manufactured, Kizlyar Supreme is from St Petersburg. I have a Kizlyar Supreme Biker Z and it's a pretty nice knife. I'm not sure I'd buy more because due to import issues they retail in the U.S. For a little too much $. A Biker at $100 should really be a $60-70 knife.

Ok guys so I've done some research and after translating a lot of Russia, have learned that Kizlyar (Not Kizlyar Supreme or Kizer) is apart of the "Top 100 Products of Russia", and a member of "The Association of National Art Crafts of Russia" Not only this, but their Australian website (I also learned they sell many knives in Australia) directly states that ALL of their knives are Handmade in Kizlyar, the south of Russia. So saying they aren't made in Russia is directly accusing the company of lying. With all this, I can only conclude that Kizlyar knives must be made in Russia. Now as for Kizlyar Supreme, I can't actually find a quote where they directly state their knives are made in Russia, but as another person noted, they do have a lot of pictures of Europeans who can only be assumed to be Russian, making the knives in their factory. I would also like to point out that on the spine of some of their knives, it clearly says "Made in Russia" I have only seen this on the rather expensive Kizlyar fixed blades tbough (The Sensei to be exact) But not on their more affordable folders, like the Ute or Biker. Although it now appears that the spine of the Kizlyar Whisper, it also says "made in Russia" this is what I gather from pictures. It also appers the stock images of the Biker don't say made in Russia, but on some of the pictures I've seen of them online, after they were opened, the blade says "Made in Russia" I wonder if they weren't going to add that but decided to add it at the last minute, but it is NOT on ALL the new ones, only a few. Now, the Kizlyar Supreme Sensei only comes in AUS-8 and D2 steel, yet clearly says made in Russia, so either the company (Kizlyar Supreme) is putting "Made in Russia" on a blade that isn't and flat out lying, or the commenter who said no Russian made blade can use D2 or AUS-10 steel because Russia doesnt import it is wrong. (I personally find it hard to believe that Russia doesn't import any D2 or AUS-8 steel, even if they have their own variants) This is all I can find and if anyone actually has one of the cheaper Kizlyar Supreme folders it would be nice to know if they come with any documentation stating they are made in Russia, as this is good enough evidence for me.
