If so, how was your experience? Looks pretty nice with a huge selection. I wonder how it compares to Ross Cutlery in L.A.
I was blown away by that place!

Yep...been a few times and we are actually going to the pier next weekend so I'll stop in again. Decent place to handle a knife you've never seen in person but I would never buy a thing from them.

The Good-
Great selection of most all the usual offerings from the usual brands.

The Bad-
The guys working there are total asshats. Rude and get irritated when asked to handle certain models. Yeah I'm sure they get a bunch of tire kickers but that's all this store is so they should expect people to want to handle them.

It's a small store on Pier 39 (tourist area). They do have a nice selection and the guys seemed to be pretty knowledgeable the last time I was there a few years ago. Worth checking out if you are in the area, IMO.

From the pics on yelp, that's kind of what I saw too..lots of CRKT, Spyderco..etc.

Asshats huh? Yeah, probably think they know more since it's a knife store.
It is in a main tourist trap spot too..pier 39 and FW.
That would probably account for the tire kickers :)

yeah it's a very odd location for a knife store right next to all the T-shirt and souvenir shops and restaurants.

I always stop in, selection is above average. Pricing is not great, but they do have high rent I presume.

Yeah, no way I'd open a brick and morter in this State and especially that city.

I've been in a few times. Folks were nice. I don't think I bought anything though. Hard to justify the price.

Been there once, had a pleasant experience and nice chat with the gent behind the counter. I was actually surprised they stock a good selection of well-known knife brands - ZT, Kershaw, Spyderco, ColdSteel, Benchmade, among Chinese junk. Most customers are tourists, and end up purchasing the Chinese under-$20 knives. The prices are way up there, but given their location, it wasn't a surprise. If you carry a knife on person, its always a good conversation starter.

I've bough two knives there on two separate occupations while in San Fran. Now I stop every time and BS with the guy. On both purchases he knocked a bunch off the LIST price - he said all you have to do is ask.
