Has anyone done a comparison of the Junglas and the BK5?

The 5 is for the kitchen in my opinion....no offense 5 lovers.

I own all three, BK5, BK9, and a Junglas. Junglas is a better chopper, but isn't a "knife" per say. Its a machete, hence the name, Junglas Machete. That usually means the Rc is lower.

The BK5 isn't even in the same class as the BK9/Junglas. Its a very well rounded knife, but doesn't have enough ass to compete with the big boys for chopping or wood processing. Just as the BK9/ Junglas can't compete on the same level as the 5 for cutting or carving.

I think the BK 9 is the best all around general woods knife of the three, mostly because even though the Junglas will out chop it, and the 5 will out cut it, it does both really well.

Now, if you are saying that chopping.is not high on your list of priorities, the something.like the BK7 would he a.better all purpose.knife choice.
