Has anyone ever tried this? On Mokumne

A jeweler told me his today. When he makes Mokumne he mixes into the flux boric acid and alcohol. This creates a slurry then he paints it on to the billet and lites it on fire. Sounds cool to me.

IG, I use to use that same mixture when I was a jeweler...we used it to prevent firescale on gold and silver when sizing and working on Jewelry...saved us alot time in the finishing process.....
