Has anyone found that the ZT0562CF's Pivot screw will not stay tight?

Hi,

I had heard that some ZT0562/ZT0562CF knives have pivot screws that loosen up with use and will not stay tight.

Has anyone here found this to be a problem?

Thanks...

A drop of blue loctite should take care of that issue nicely, if there is indeed an issue.

I haven't had any issues with my 0562's pivot screws coming loose. If it ever does happen, a little bit of blue Loctite will fix it.

I actually pulled my 0562 out of my pocket Friday and realized the pivot screw was loose. A little Blue Loctite later and it's great again

I put blue Loctite on probably half of the folders I own, sometimes before I even notice a loosening problem. Great stuff!

Another one for blue locktite. Take the knife apart, clean it, lube it as you desire, put a little blue locktite on the pivot threads and put it back in.
Make sure the action is how you like it before the locktite sets, set it exactly how you like it and you shouldn't have any more issues.
Best of luck.

I had to do this too, works like a charm.

Also buy yourself a nice torx set by Wiha so you don't strip any screws. Buy once, cry once.

I prefer the purple Loctite to the blue, but either one will do the trick.

Another vote for one drop of blue locktite - but I have not had an issue with my 562, but I have used locktite on my 560's.

best

Have not had an issue with this on my ZT 0562CF, like many have mentioned 1 drop of blue lock tite and tighten the pivot all the way. You do not need to adjust pivot at all since it uses the KVT ball bearing system.
