Has anyone here dealt with HR Knives?

Hi,

I'm trying to get some info on this company; HR Knives. Their webpage says they're located in Chilhowie, VA.

Their prices look good but i can't find out anything about them on the Internet which seems strange.

Has anyone here dealt with them?

I believe I bought 3-5 knives from them at different times. I know I got the 2 Svords I have, from them. Never a problem with the company.
 
Been lurking a while, might as well contribute. I bought from them about 2 years ago, order was fine. I felt shipping was high and took a bit to get to the west coast.
I noticed about a year ago, i stopped getting sales emails from them. 2 weeks ago I emailed them to check the shipping calculator on some sales items they had (Gatco system for under $20!). They never answered and I wound up going with a Sharpmaker from elsewhere...
 
Has anyone dealt with him in the last year or less?

I have a transaction going with him right now.

Nothing wrong at this point. I'm just curious about the recent experiences of others with HR knives.

Mykem, I would say that if it takes more than a week to hear back or get your items, a safe bet would be to cancel the order. I've found a coulle of negative reviews so far.
 
They also have some knives listed that they are not on the manufacturers list of dealers to have. Now this could be an oversight by someone but just thought it should be posted. I emailed the maker to ask because the prices seem a little off. Will report back when they get back with me.

I got the knife yesterday. All is well with this company in my experience.
 
Good news mykem. It's always nice to hear that a company that may have not been running smoothly does come though as expected by the customer. Glad it worked out.
