has anyone modded a scotch dispenser?

i'm wondering if anyone has ever done anything to one and what was done other than stripping the coating and convexing the edge. i have been working on one and its close to being done. i'm not saying what it is i'm doing so you'll have to wait till its finished and pictures are posted :D.

I really like Ducci's. Love the skelaton look and how it has the little finger gaurd. That was a cool little knife to mod but I wasnt big on the ring and the standard shape.

all I can see in ducci's pic is that green hotpixel :eek:

seriously though that thing is begging for a partial tang full handle, to me personally anyways.
 
Has anyone cannibalized a Scotch Dispenser and had the blade made into a folder yet? It seems like a prime candidate for that type of mod.
 
I was really really tempted on the Scotch dispenser, but without holding one was not sold. I would have pulled the trigger on one in an instant if the but of the handle/tang area had been more normal. I for one, really like the look of the finger ring.

Nice mods posted here so far, lets see Richard's version!!!!!

the one i'm modding is a work in progress and my camera is messed up so there isnt much to see yet. you'll all have to wait and see when its done and i can get a camera that works to take some picures.
 
Why think so small,,,,,,,,,,,,, ronyBear had a BattleMistress cannibalized into a folder,,,,,,,,, one hellova huge gorgeous auto , ta boot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i knew you werent ronybear. i was hoping you had pictures or knew where they were posted. i'm going to be working on a large folder with a ti frame and the way i'm designing it there could be several fixed blades that can be cut down to work in it. the lock will be a design of mine which i think has never been used in a knife before.
 
Not really a fan of knife modding although all of those scotch dispenser mods look great-well executed and an improvement on the original design.:thumbup::D
