Has Anyone ordered a Spyderco Military Model from Top of Texas Knives?- I NEED HELP

I was just about ready to order the new Military Model C36 from Top of Texas Knives when I noticed something. The Military Model is supposed to come in CPM 440V blade steel, but in the description of the Military Model at Top of Texas Knives it has ATS-34 blade steel. Also, in the picture of the Military Model at Top of Texas Knives it shows the old Military. I don't want to order what I think is the new Military Model and end up getting the old Military. So I want to know if anybody has ordered a Military Model from Top of Texas Knives? Did they send you the newer version in CPM 440V or the old version in ATS 34?
Thanks a lot,
Sol

I too noticed that. So I continued my search on the net. And guess what I found, at WWW.knife.com/bladens = a G-2 Steel, Black Titanium Carbonitride Coated M-36 Military Knife!!!! (Way Cool)

Even though I would prefer the CPM 440V steel, I will get one of these blackened knives (because of my profession).

I have yet to find another source for a Blackened M-36, so I am going to post that question here. Expect it in a few minutes.

Stoney,
Call them to order!!!!!!!!!!! They have a bad habit with misprints and sloppy discriptions.

I have ordered three Militarys from Top of Texas. One new style serrated in ATS-34, and a serrated and plain edge in 440-V. They do sell the new style. I highly recommend them. Give them a call or email and tell them which one you want. Great service, great people.

Soloman, I did reply to your E-Mail about this but I'll go ahead and reply here, too.
We do have both ATS-34 and CPM 440V and both
are the new current model. They are both on the web page but they were separated and I have since put them side by side. As far as the sloppy descriptions, I guess we all make a few mistakes. Send us an E-Mail if you have any more questions.
Thanks a lot.

Chris,

Sorry for having to make you repeat yourself, I just wanted to make sure I had everything covered.

Chris@TOTK,
I wasn't talking about TOTK. I was stating that it was Bladen's, who were sloppy in their descriptions.
I've talked to M. and she is "on top of it".
And since it's just the two of you, I wouldn't think the errors from a bigger outfit like Bladen's would land on your pile.

Sol,
Good luck getting your Military. Great knife.

I just want to let you know that I have ordered many knives from TOT Knives and I have found their customer service to be outstanding and Chris and Marti are a joy to work with. Don't worry if there is some confusion, just email and ask Chris about the blade steels and he will clarify any questions you have before purchasing.

Chris and Marti (Like a lot of dealers on this forum) are 2 of the most honest folks that I have had the priviledge to work with.

Take care!

I agree with Greg. TOTKnives were running a special on plain edge Militaries last month and since I already had one I e-mailed about getting a serrated model. They said they would check, made a special effort to get me one and charged me the special price even though the advertised special was plain edge only. Good folks to do business with.

Ordered the Military in CPM 440V with a plain edge from TOTKnives yesterday! Should be here sometime next week.

Good choice Sol. You won't be disappointed, I promise.
