has anyone ordered knives thru knifecenter?

Yea i have ordered a couple lower end knives from there.... they are well known and well respected... another good site is new_____ -( a cracker for smores)

I see you already made up your mind, but since this topic is at the top I'll just add that I've ordered the majority of my knives from KC and I'm a very happy customer. I wasn't happy with a couple of knives (manufacturers fault, not KC's) and I could just send them back to KC for a full refund, no problem whatsoever.
 
As long as you know what you are getting you should be very happy. I placed an order once and fullfillment and shipping and all was all you could ask for. My problem was that I didn't "know" what exactly I was getting and was unhappy because their photo was two or three times life size and their description of said item implied it was a big as the picture. I think I went back later and saw that the dimensions, although in a smaller font, were there but after reading the description of the knife I just went ahead and ordered it.

With something like an Esee 6 you should have no problems whatsoever.
 
i have ordered most of my knives through them. fast shipping easy transaction. never had an issue with a knife ordered through them
 
I was actually going for junglas but oh well... the 6 is good too. Anyways i love this site. Thanks to google you guys just made my wallet lighter just like candleforum lol
 
I've ordered from them many times with no problems.My only gripe would be that their stock isn't always "real time".It's probably because they're so HUGE,it's hard to keep track of...IDK.

Yeah i just hope its in stock that is the only reason i ordered it too.. almost every other sites were sold out or too expensive
 
You can go ahead and buy from them, they're a reputable seller, but not without problems.

I had never bought from them, but a friend wanted a set of 4 professional grade kitchen knives and I suggested they use KC's web site, since research showed they were the only ones that had all 4 models. The $400+ order was taken but then stopped because of a supposed Credit Card problem, which was unusual because my friend is definitely a person with disposable funds (big trust fund), no debt and clean CC record, and had completed several web orders that same night, all meant to be gifts for a VIP's (not a famous person) new kitchen remodel. When she forwarded the eMail from KC to me that indicated the order could not be completed, I was embarrassed and called to clear up what I understood must be a transaction processing error.

Customer Service was not able to clear up the issue and I was left un satisfied. Upset and determined to complete the order on time, I placed the order through the web site to be sent to the VIP's address, as before, but using my Credit Card. And had the same results. Now confused and angry I once more contacted KC and after a rather angry and very long exchange, which included calls and emails (including one from the owner or president defending their policies) they ended up accepting the transaction, indicating they were now assured it was not fraudulent. Unfortunately, the order they accepted included an item they didn't have in stock. The order took several weeks for delivery, so it was late for the kitchen's re-inauguration, but they did keep me advised of the delay and delivery.

The recipient, however, was absolutely delighted with the 4 knives, so in the end it was all worth the effort and grief. And their Customer Service person is now in my good book. I can't really recommend them as top merchants, but they're certainly honest and reputable. Jeff Loffer from Cutlery Shoppe (my preferred purveyor of cutlery) knows the owner personally and vouched for them. So make your order, and if you have any problems call customer service and they will sort it out. You will get the merchandise you ordered.

My experience with them wasn't bad but there are certainly better dealers IMHO. You're definitely safe to place an order with them but I'd consider other folks out there too.
