Has anyone removed their wave?

I recently got a ZT0620 and it's my first knife with the Emerson wave feature. I absolutely love the knife but I really don't like the wave. Has anyone removed or modified their wave features. How did you do it? Any pics? Thanks.

I*haven't but it's easy. Use a Dremel with a fiber cutting disc. Then use the dremel with a sanding drum to clean up the cut. Just take your time cutting it as not to heat up that portion of the blade unintentionally heat bronzing that area. Perhaps have a piece of ice to cool off the blade ever few seconds cutting the wave off to keep it cold.

De-waved 0630.
Used a Dremel.
I used it with the wave for a while and it would be fine if it was the only knife I carry but it's not and the wave surprised me a few times and I got nicked.
Problem solved.
The scale is one of Whitty's from USA Made Blades.

need to think about somehow trimming down that thumb ramp a bit. looks odd to me, the shape i mean. fine job on removing the wave.

I like the jimping on the ramp so I kept it.
Certainly looks a bit odd but is purely functional.
I have a carbidizer and I carbidized the de-waved face and the knife can be opened with my thumb from that location now.

Just grind it back so its even with the scale and liners. Take it down to the spine and back following the line of the spine.

good points and nicely done in that regard. i didnt think of that.

Horseman, Mini Roadhouse, and CQC7a. All were removed by choice except the CQC 7. The 7 came with a "nub" instead of the the wave. Removed it myself because it was cheaper than sending it back to EKI.

I think most people buy an Emerson style knife because of the wave (they certainly don't for the fit and finish!) but if you really don't like it then I can see removing it. Remember there are models that don't come with a wave, both by Emerson and also autos by Protech.

After some consideration I removed a bit more.
I used the same angle as the handle for aesthetics and now I can use that forward ramp for thumb leverage and it fits more comfortably than the upper jimping.
Sometimes things just work out well.
Thanks for the suggestion.
