Has anyone seen Gayle Bradley's new flipper?

I ran into Gayle Bradley at the Blade show and he pulled one of his customs out of his pocket and let me have a look. Titanium handle flipper with 3.5" blade. It looks pretty similar to the larger Tac 1 which i've seen a few photos of.

Anyway, I was blown away by the design and especially the action. I was so enamored with the knife that I broke down and ordered a custom. I was just curious if anyone had seen or handled one of these. Mr. Bradley makes some really spectacular customs so I'm pretty excited about this one. He also has another one he's doing that is a "fancy flipper" with damascus and mammoth tooth handle. Beautiful knife but this one is going to be a user and I really liked the feel of the ti version.

Thanks and credit to Knifecenter for the photos.

I almost grabbed one from KC the day they got them. However, for some reason I couldn't pull the trigger. I regret it from time to time...

I've considered having Gayle make me one to my specs, but I've been tied up with other knives lately. Perhaps next year:D

I happened to be hanging out at his shop as he was finishing up a batch of his new flippers a week or 2 before the Blade show. Very nice and slim knives. Good decision on having him make you a custom one. His custom knives are so very nice and buttery smooth!!!

Does he accept IOU's?
That Damascus version is breathtaking
I'll pay it off in... say, 30 years? :D

I have a tac 1. Absolutely smooth, perfect function. My only small complaint is the handle is slightly larger than it needs to be for the blade. But overall I don't see myself letting it go.

The action was what sold me on the smaller one he was carrying. Lighter detent and the knife could be opened so smooth and easy. Do you happen to have any pics of yours?

Thats awesome. I'm going to visit some family in Louisiana in August and I'm going to try and make a side trip to check out his shop.

I'd like a full custom version of the spyderco gayle bradley, (the first one) with titanium liners and standoffs.

I love that one too but I much prefer the blade profile of this one with its flatter spine and slightly sharper point.

Nice, but I'm too scared to even look up the price.

When the knife is opened, wouldn't the flipper interfere if you were cutting something on a flat surface? It looks like it protrudes down too far.

I think it will be fine for my uses. The items i cut on a flat surface with my folder are usually done with the belly of the blade up near the tip and the knife at a downward angle. The flipper doesn't extend much beyond where your finger would be anyway. I like that it makes for a great finger guard too.
