Has anyone seen or used dinosaur bone for scales??

I have used dinosaur bone (agatized), petrified wood, jadeite and nephrite jade, crysanthemum stone, and other neat stuff for Colt 1911 grips. I use standard lapidary equipment as it is all harder than steel. Sometimes there are pits or porosity in some of the stones so I use Paleo Bond to fill them then grind as normal.

The dino bone shows cellular structure and looks much like forged cable steel. I used white/black dino bone to match a blade I had and it was WAY COOL.

What kind of equipment exactly would I need?
BTW I can buy a 1/4" slab, so I don't have to cut slices from a stone.

It would be rather cool to have something like a T-rex tooth for a handle. Not practical, of course, but cool.
