Has anyone tried a convex edge on a Salt?

Hi all,
I was looking around the forum: looking for more H1/Salt fans and learning about edges and sharpening and stuff and wondered if anyone had tried to or put a convex edge on one of the Salt knives. I know that opinions about the convex edge vary, but seeing as how a lot of the stuff I read touted the convex edge as a "working" edge, I wondered if it would be feasible on the H1 steel. Just a thought.
If anyone has done it, can we see some pics? I don't think I'll ever do it myself, but I'm still curious about what it would look like and how it performs.
Does it change the H1's already superb performance?
Thanks,
Gray

Go over to Knife Reviews and Testing sub-forums. About two/three months ago (?) if I'm not mistaken, "Buzzbait" did an H1 piece and convexed it.

i was sent a salt some time ago but i cant remember for sure if i convexed the edge. i have good results with any knife i put a convex edge on so i dont think it would hurt to convex the edge on it.

I have a convexed delica 4. Similar blade shapes, diffrrent steel.

I like it alot, it really helps the thicker ground blade. I usually put a 15 deg micro bevel on it, then keep stropping it for a few weeks until it needs a few more white stone sharp maker passes.

No, but had a waved Endura with it (With a scandi grind edge, too). Worked great, too. Not sure why I traded it, lol.

Richardj convexed mine, He said it took the edge with no problems.

I have been using it on and off for a month now and it still cuts like a laser. The more I use H1, the more it impresses me.

I have a Pacific Salt I convexed. I roughed some steel off the blade with a DMT XX Course diamond hone, then used sandpaper and mousepad to convex the edge. I layed the knife flat on the hollow grind part of the blade so I ended up with a very acute edge. I polished it up to 2000 grit so it's nice and shiny. It takes a wonderful edge, much better than before I reprofiled it. I noticed this on both my PE H1 blades (Pac. Salt and Aqua Salt) , that after reprofiling and sharpening a few times they took better edges and held them longer. I've been happy with the convex edges I've put on both knives.
