Has anyone tried hand filing or grinding sawteeth on their knife?

The point of the saw teeth is for notching wood n branches. For field craft n setting traps n triggers
 
Have a Ontario machete with saw teeth; pretty useless and are just a hazard to using the machete. 11 year old thread... always the new members. So. ZiekEbr, have you found the saw teeth useful that a sak couldn't do just as well or better?
 
just take a Crunch multi-tool instead, with some saw blades that can be held in the visegrip of the tool. You'll find that this works at least 10x better.
