Has eBay Banned All Knife Sales????

Is it just me, but I can find almost any blade (with a few exceptions) cheaper at good online vendors than on eBay?

I thought it was just me.

I was looking at a couple of SAKs over there; a lot of them are no longer listed. I'm able to see the ones that I had put on watch.

This weekend I finally got around to listing a few dozen misc items. I've been able to post things all day, but the search feature seems to work 1 in every 10 times all day long. Makes it hard to research similar listings.

I can find any NIB Spyderco from a eBay store much cheaper. Of course they are online vendors too, I would think.

Ebay has banned the sale of knives in Britain on their site as a knee jerk response to a piece of gutter journalism that was featured on the BBC Watchdog TV program earlier this year, when they claimed that automatic knives were being offered for sale on the site to UK customers (the knives featured in the program were in fact assisted openers which are still perfectly legal to own in the UK).

I think that this ban only applies to sales in the United Kingdom at the moment.
