Has Manix 2 Been Improved By Spyderco (proof please) Since Hard Use Video?

Thanks all, I have placed an order for my Manix 2 through bhq. Hope it gives me many years of yeoman's service! I won't be doing any spine wack tests, but if I ever have to use it for self-defense and hit bone or anything I hope that CBBL holds up! I like all 10 of my fingers! I might still pick up a Cold Steel Mini Recon 1 because it's a cool knife too, but I worry about their clip implementation. I was surprised that regular usage over a few years caused the screw to strip right out of the hole in the liner. I compared the screws them selves and they don't appear stripped so I believe it's the hole in the liner that stripped. I bought a precision hex kit to tighten it, I went very slow and careful and never encountered any resistance, so I know I didn't strip it out myself by going too hard on the tiny screw.

Anyway, thanks again everybody!

Steve

EDIT: Just to clarify, the CS knife I'm referring to here is my current Ultimate Hunter. I msg'ed CS about it asking for any ideas earlier in the week but have not heard back from them yet.

My Manix has the least blade play & one of the most smooth actuating blade out of all my knives.

Most Spydie fans will just take Sal's word for it. However, there is a significant number of people who saw these videos that arent hardcore fans. The only way to definitively prove the changes worked is to send an improved Manix 2 to Ankerson for his special hard use testing.

But I'm not volunteering. ;)

Video has been edited and I no longer do those types of tests anymore.

Thanks for taking the time to do that Jim, I'm sure having that new disclaimer at the beginning of the video will spare a lot of confusion for others.

I think those tests you did were pretty cool! Thanks for sharing them with everyone!

With the new interest in that video I figured I better do something. :)
