I chopped down a couple of these trees that were too close to the house with my 21. I wasn't sure if the dogbone would be totally secure with the big kukri chops, but it was a solid grip. No shock in the handle either for tree chopping or firewood chops. Beast chops, lots of fun to use. Mine is very sharp and I have a sweet AZ Welkie sheath for it too, kydex with a dangler (highly reccomended to the guy in the thread looking for a new sheath.) It's the best sheath I have out of about 30. A great blade & a great chopper. Too bad it's discontinued. A lot of big blades are now, Idk if forged in fire kept them more relevant for more people in the past but they're much tougher to find these days. I have a lot of big high carbon choppers, they'll last forever. My first becker was a 5. This guy was selling a dope collection and I had to pick and choose, That caught my eye immediately. I sold it to someone looking for one when they were discontinued and I couldn't stop thinking about it so I'm glad to have found another. Good knife co sold it to me and put a slightly convexed edge and polished off a patina with scotch brite belts before shipping it to me. Somebody spent a ton of time grinding in a fully convexed polished Camillus 4 w/ blue handles. They modified a few different bk-4's different ways, and liked the full flat grind version best if I recall correctly. The convexed 4 is like a splitting axe head with a kukri oriented fat Becker handle attached to the end of a 1/4 inch convexed machete. Wild blade. My 9 stripped with grippy g10 has been the first choice for fire making many times. Some guy in Europe sent me the king and chop chop, I have a 7 with grip tape, a knife, but indestructable. I love all of 'em, so shoutout to Ethan in the Montana wilderness. It's kind of where I'd expect him to be living his best life.
