Has the tanto style blade grown on you?

I don't have alot of experience with tantos--the only one I have is my Benchmade 722.
It's a very strong knife but I just don't like the way it slices very much.
Maybe it is the rather short primary edge, but as I slice from tang to tip, I don't like the abrute drop-off.
It's hard to find the right words to describe.

So, from my limited experience, I don't care for tantos very much.

I appreciate the usefulness of a tanto, but don't like them myself, since I appreciate more a clip/drop point. If I need something a tanto is better than a clip/drop point for, I'll use my secondary carry sheepsfoot (Spyderco Rescue) instead, which usually works better anyway.

The only tanto I've ever had was chisel ground, which I absolutely hate. A V-ground tanto should work well for many things.

Normally I don't like them at all. My SnG is a tanto, however, and I love it. Something about the angles and handle make the tanto style incredibly useful on this knife. Not to mention the point is hellishly strong.

I don't really care for them.
I do have a spyderco lum fixed, a protech duke, and a microtech exodus with tanto style blades.

I do kinda like the exodus though.........except for cutting myself with it :ox

I don't care for the American Chisel ground tantos. But the American Tantos as put out by Bob Lum are really beautiful pieces of art. Which is probably why I have over 10 of them in various sizes...

I like Tanto's.
My first decent knife was a Benchmade Emerson CQC7 Tanto. It's been a downhill slide since that first purchase. :D

My favorite Tanto grind to date is Chris Reeves on the NICA Tanto. It is perfect. My second favorite is Mick Striders on the Gen5 and 6 SnG's. Third would be the Strider hollow ground Tanto GB. Pretty rare knife though.
