Has there ever been a Busse thower?

This!

Rat, yes, this is what i'm looking for, a handle-less SR101 dedicated thrower. Just seems like a logical extension of such a good steel!

for a dedicated thrower, why not get a throwing knife? For the price of a small Busse, you could get several excellent throwers designed for that purpose.

BeP, yes, i agree with this, actually, i'd never try to hunt with a thrower.

i find just tossing a thrower at a target for 1/2 hour to an hour really limbers me up (i'm old), and takes my head away from the daily grind when i can't get out and about.

that's why i'm really looking for dedicated throwers, but alas, any Bussekin is probably overkill.

And knife hits are common, so handles are temporary, at best ;)

if i was going to hog hunt with a THROWING knife, i'd want to be throwing BM's or a gladius.

i've seen hogs shot with a .308 rifle and still manage to charge the hunter and run over 100 yards before dropping.

those are some tough bastards lemetellya

I ain't got one yet, but the dog booty looks like it'd throw pretty good.

Dog booty? the Scrapivore? Just got my first. Nice little skel-e-knife, but too light for me for throwing. I'm an amateur... need weight and balance.

"be hog-hunting throwers"

Canary, you dare say this on the busse boards!

I'll say, though i don't want to hunt with them, the apache sounds interesting.

Well, i think you're right about them not being a category of knife fitting the typical hard-use definition.

Thanks for the input, i guess i'll stick with the cold steels for thowing, no prestige, but who cares if you have to regrind the tip now and then, right.

I was out throwing the le today. Checkout the pics sorry no vids today :(:

It's all about balance and distribution of weight and knowing your blade. If you know it you can throw it... wow I just made that up :)! I throw screw drivers, kitchen knives, everyone of my Busse's... you can throw anything and stick it if you have a feel for the balance and how it's going to fly. So there is no such thing as a throwing knife to me, when you can throw them all. Just make sure it's strong :) the cheap knives are going to break sooner or later! Also, why would you want to get good with a throwing knife and be out in the woods with your Busse and need to throw it and not know how ... that's just my 2 cents! Good luck.

P.S. I must confess I do throw my old Cold Steel Recon scout when I don't have a Busse close at hand... which is not often :D but it does make a good thrower!

Oh wait - I though you said Busse Flame Throwers.....

However, Sure - you can throw any of them and I have seen some excellent videos over the years and know it can be done! And done well ......ok done funny...:)

.

BOSS Jacks make for decent throwers. Buy more than one so you won't have to walk back and forth the whole time :D
