a get-together of any sort for Schrade collectors to get together in a central location to swap, buy, etc? I wonder what the interest would be to do one either on a national or regional level?

I know I would be interested in doing something like that. elect a couple of people to be in charge of putting something together. The rest of us can help, we plan it 6months to a year in advance and do some advertising locally and on line. Then you have some kind of an rsvp a couple of months previous to the get together so we know if its gonna be worth having. Im all for it! And while were talking about it Im always curious where everybodys from? I dont need your address or anything wierd like that just to know where were all from. Im from Illinois an hour south of chicago in a small town called Dwight. I know I'd drive a long ways for a schrade get together.-joel

Southwest Tennessee, not far North of Savannah. No city, just Codger's farm.

Heck I've got relatives in indy so we get over there once in a while and I just came back from tennessee, my wife and I love it there. Lets have the big schrade meeting on codgers farm.lol what do ya think.-joel

I don't know about driving accross the country to... Tennessee? My brother lives there (Martin) - tornados, rain, high humidity, bugs, poison ivy... :)

What would be cool, an online swap meet. But of course whatever duplicates I have, you guys probably already have it already. :(

I live about 30 miles south of Chicago, (Mokena), only have about 20 Schrades and Imperials, but would be interested in a get together.

well ducks and bucks youve really started something here. now between you and stomper weve got a couple of guys within a couple of hours of each other. anybody else out there? ducks and bucks I nominate you to chairman of the schrade meeting/swapmeet board. what do ya think... joel

If you guys can get to the Oregon knife show (470 tables with the biggest bunch of antique knives I've ever seen!), I bet I can organize a goup of tables for Schradeophiles (Schradeists?). April is pretty soon, but next year for sure!

Oregon is a long way but I've always wanted to go to that neck of the woods sometime. Perhaps a regional meeting of the Schradeaholics Anonymous (hello, my name is Marc and I've been addicted to Schrades for 6 months now). If we get enough interest in the midwest, I wouldn't mind trying to put something together with some help.

Id be more than willing to help marc let me know if were serious and we can start talking place and dates. then start promoting.

The Bowie collectors had their annual meeting at Oregon last year, with an additional bunch of tables, and it was a huge hit! Doing it with an organized show would be a boost to BOTH!!!

...I'm ready to launch my boat...just give the word....I'm on the last land tip of southern Australia and the only icea ferma below me is the South Pole....not far to come for one of Uncle Alberts' lost souls...hey what about ya'll come and visit me instead ya hear now? Is there a Marina in that there Oregon? Hoo Roo from the land Downunder.

Eugene, Oregon looks to be 40-50 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean, Larry. Looks like you could dock in Coos Bay, and hitch a ride!

..hitch a ride Waynorth?....are they likely to go thru my baggage like the airports? I'm very likely to carry my favourite Schrade mate. Hoo Roo

yea but you guys probablly have bigger snakes there dont you.
I doubt there are any snakes at 7,000' elevation as large as a full-grown Tennessee Cottonmouth or chicken snake.
