Hi there, first I want to introduce myself. My name is Robert Brock, I am a knifemaker in Michigan *Detroit suburbs* that trained under Robert Nelson Parker, I am still working with him. I have learned so much from him and appreciate all he has done for me immensly. I am wanting to make this more than a part time job. This hatchet I have been working on for some time, perfecting it to my standards which I hold high. This hatchet has a polished finish, and brown micarta handle. I had this professionally heat-treated by Thermal One *ISO 9000:2001 certified*, everything else I have done myself. I don't yet have the stencil with my logo on it, however I am working on a design now and will have all my knives in the future marked as such. These are made with 100% + pure passion, I hope that you will see that in each piece I create.

This is made with A2 tool steel, professionally heat treated, polished finish, micarta handle *brown*, stainless mosaic pins and a lanyard. All the outside edges on this one are brushed with a polished finish head... This measures out: .380 thick & .850 thick on handle.... 13" overall length, head size 3 3/4" tall x 3 1/2" wide. If you have any questions, want to purchase or anything else, please pm me, reply to the post or email me direct at: rmjbrock7@att.net Thanks :) PRICE IS: $235.00 Plus shipping with Insurance.... $12.95

Could you up the size of your description, it is really small. Have you tried chopping with one of these? I am wondering how comfy the handle is. Thanks!

Hello, Before I finished this off, I tried using it to see how it was. Let me tell you it was one hell of a chopper being that there is some weight behind it, NOT cumbersome by any means. The handle was VERY comfortable and the way I designed it there are two options to hold it...one by choking up on it or two holding it towards the end of it both of which are very comfortable. I had a friend of mine try it out as well who is a knife entheusiast and he agrees, it's very comfortable to hold/use.

Thank you, I have been working on these on and off for 3 months! Didn't think I would ever finish them. I don't think I will do these again.
