Hatchet sheath

Just picked up a new hatchet, and it came with one of those leather sheaths that just covers the cutting edge. I've always had my hatchet in some sort of a drop-through sheath that attached to my belt. Does anyone out there prefer the simple edge cover sheath? How do you carry the axe? Do you just shove it under your belt?

On a side note. Would anyone recommend me someone who could make me a drop-through leather sheath for my hatchet at a good price?

Thanks

I prefer the type of sheath that just covers the edge, as I don't have to maneuver the handle through a leather sheath.

I usually carry my hatchet in my pack so the type of cover doesn't matter much. I've also used something similar to this around camp:

It seems to let the hatchet move more freely than the usual drop through sheath like you're talking about so it's a bit more comfortable when you kneel or sit. It's not nearly as secure though and might not work at all if the handle of the hatchet is too light. My Fiskars just flips right over and falls out of the ring.
