Hatchet vs tomahawk for long term camping?

Heyo, did you also make Woox Volante? Saw it at the local outdoors store and was thinking of grabbing it for my survival kit, since it's much smaller compared to Forte.
No, the Volante is a standard Rhineland pattern axe. I was not involved with its design.
 
I would grab an H&B Forge Hawk

There are a few of their hawks on ebay right now.

Where are you getting the extra shafts in the field?
You can make one using just the head of the hawk your replacing the shaft for.

I've done it twice over the years. It's a bit time consuming but overall it's not a hard job to do
