i really want to buy that new benchmade precinct but i cant for a while because i dont want one that has that ugly print running all the across the blade, why does benchmade ruin their first 1000 knives of each model with that ugly print ? anyone else bothered by this ?

For people who buy it as a collectors item it's nice. For everyone else either we don't give one f or can't stand it. I like minimal writing on a blade

I prefer Spyderco's style in printing the serial number of their first production next to the Spydy logo.
More discreet and seems like they always sell at premium over the normal productions

I'm just waiting for Ruger to print the entire owner's manual on every gun.

Jeremiah, just use the hell outta the knife and you'll wear away the ugly printing in no time. :D:thumbup:

Possibly the biggest offender in the history of modern folding knives:

Doesn't stop me from carrying it, though. :D

I like how dpx does it with on the spine of the blade or the inside of the backspacer. But other then that i think they do it for collectors.
