I have been waiting to read Dex's article about Andrew and it finally hit the stands. I picked up a copy of Knives Illustrated Friday and it is great. Dexter is one of the best writers and Andrew is one of the best makers. If you haven't checked out Andrew's work you need to. He is really a perfectionist when it comes to knives. I didn't even know he made fixed blades until I read Dex's article. Here is a picture of one of Andrew's knives:
Its not the best picture in the world but you get the idea. The bolsters are Eggerling mosaic and the blade is Daryl Meir. The handles are tiger coral. This was Andrew's eighth knife and it is perfect.
I couldn't believe it when my sweet wife bought this one for me. Its the only piece of Andrew's work I have but I plan on getting more. You should be able to see some of his work at the Blade Show in June. Keep up the good work Dex and Andrew. I sure am lucky to live between these two guys
