Haul Thread

I went to J.C. Penny last night and bought THE COMMANDER two sweaters, a pair of jeans and a girly-girl belt so she can conceal her RC-3 under one of the sweaters when she wants to.

I went to Bass Pro Shops this morning and all I got what this lousy bag of Horehound. :D

i made out pretty well so far! my drinking buddy and me got a gift set of lucid absinthe, with two glasses and a slotted spoon, from my girlfriend and his wife, it's going to be a fun new years eve party... too bad i have to work the next morning...

i also got an RC-6s, from my lovely girlfriend, now i need a sheath, though... but i now have an excuse to get the rat-pack kit with an rc-5! she also got me the molle back for my forum rc-3:D... i got her a pair of 16 gauge white gold earrings, a down-filled coat, and a movie (and a book) called tideland... strange flick. a gun cleaning kit, and some other stuff from her parents... i can't wait to go play in the woods.

gave a few knives too, we got a sog twitchII for my drinking buddy... he had to lose his pocketknife at LAX... got my little brother a tramontina machete, which i modded and built a cardboard-duct-tape sheath for, we got his girlfriend a kershaw leek framelock, and my girlfriend's parents a kitchen knife set from tramontina.
 
Well for Christmas this year, I got a North Face Skareb 40 pack, a Nikon L100 camera (so far it hasn't impressed me) North Face Denali gloves and hat, a North Face Fairfax sweater, a big box of about 10 pairs of wool socks, some cool rustic picture frames for my apartment, another aquamira bottle filter, a Eddie Bauer travel clock/survival light, and a full line of Kakadu stuff- an awesome cargo vest and some nice heavy canvas buttonup shirts. I got Adventure Travel in the Third World, a few photography books, and The World's Most Dangerous Places. Plus with a big fat check coming from work I'll have some spare change to spruce up my survival literature and my gear (especially knives :D)
 
I've completely cut myself off so I can save some cash up for a decent rifle.

I also have a Trace Rinaldi SKS coming in soon but that was a trade.

The Mrs. and I decided to forgo christmas presents for eachother this year and put the money into the kids.

Cash is tight this year and were going to Vegas in a few weeks for SHOT.
 
My recent big haul is two S&W M&P 15-22s. One for me and one for the boy. Blasting away 22 LR all afternoon is a great way to bond.
 
Got a bunch of backpacking stuff: first aid kit, LED head light, compass ect.
My parents gave me that camelbak m.u.l.e. Not sure if that is what I want to use for my day pack though. My favorite gift is those Merrell boots.

As much as I wanted to get my dad an RC-3 DIDN'T happen!! got him a decent Leatherman Multi-Tool.....

My haul....
100' of 550 paracord and a new book (Filth by Irvine Welsh!!!).... REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted an RC-3 for father and I and a Zu to replace my ganked one but I resisted!!! True haul was spending money on a family who lost everything in a fire!! Kinda hard to buy for myself when someone else s family lost it all!! Was gonna use the 550 for the Zu and the RC-3......Now what?? lol.. Wife thinks I'm CRAZY!!!

Anyone else find these electronic hamster things ODD?????? Both kids from the family we bought for went NUTS over em!!!
