Well, of course there are parts of our gear we like, some we love, but what are the pieces, or the one piece, that is your favorite.
For me, its a Wind River fleece sweater, my Wetterlings and Sog revolver H. I've had the sweater for 5 years, no rips, no tears, the only thing is a zipper disappeared off the front left pocket.

So what is that piece, or pieces that you just cant leave without?

Of course pics are great :D

Well, since this is bladeforums, I guess I should say F1 with survival sheath chest rig

I forgot to mention, its doesnt only have to be blades (though they are nice to look at :D)

Anything you want.

My Army surplus coat, my boots and a couple of knives.

The coat is something most people here speak out against, but it works great for me. Liner for when it's cold that's removable when it's warm, waterproof, built in wood, keeps wind out effectively, oversized sleeves, rugged and lots of large pockets. It's worked great for me year round.

The boots are another thing most people here would never advocate. Thick, triple stitched leather sides, steel toe and very thick soles. Very waterproof and pretty warm, these guys serve me well during winter or when it's really rainy out.

My knives are my SAK Farmer, custom puukko and Kuhkrui. The SAK is versatile, pocket-friendly and cuts very well. The puukko is extremely comfortable, cuts better than any fixed blade I've owned and is also the best looking knife I own. The Kuhkuri is plain fun to use, even if it won't really get out at all now that the snow is gone. Here are some photos.

The puukko is the bottom one in pic #2, click here to see it's sheath.

Yeah here's mine.....it started out as stock, but I wanted more.
I installed new grips, extended mag release, extended slide release, match trigger, full length guide rod match hammer. The leather is from Andrews.

I have lots of favorites, but the one I use the most, is 60+ years young. Made by Camillus for our troops during WWII.

I'd have to say its a toss up between my MJLED-modded minimag, photon2, and my Becker Necker (even though I never carry it, oddly enough).

I'd say my favorite piece of gear is therefore my photon II mini led light. So compact, yet so bright and long-lifed. Its saved me countless times from fumbling under my car in the dark, or finding that cig I just dropped in the night.

Then again, I do have love for my cabela's fleece lined ball cap...

My singlemost important and favorite piece of equipment, my Minolta X700 camera. I don't go anywhere without it.

Yep, I might be lost with a broken leg, being eaten by a bear, in three inches of hail, but by-gosh I'll have good pictures. :D

The Bolo has been with me since 1978. Got it in P.I. for $8.00 has seen every climactic zone and 13 different country's.

The little one is a Ka-bar I picked up around ten years ago. 2 7/8" blade. I haven't seen another one since I picked this one up. It's the same size as an A.G.Russel woodswalker. The woodswalker holds a better edge, but I really like the way this one looks.

My favorite outdoors gear:
Snugpak Rocketpak, ATC VTAC, CRK Aviator (Thanks Jerry), Kabar/Dozier Spearpoint hunter, Fiskars folding spade.

Favourite gear includes my:

Flashlight combo - Fenix L2D and Petzl Tikka XP headlamp

Knife combo - Fallkniven S1 and Spyderco Delica

For sailing and surfing - O'Neil full arm/full leg wetsuit - has held up extremely well to some fairly rough wear, particularly on the boat.

Holeproof explorer socks - very comfy and never, ever had a hole in any of my dozens of pairs.

3 weight polarfleece by Kathmandu - toasty warm and very versatile.

Ray Ban polaroid sunglasses - great glasses and look the biz too.

Thats pretty cool, reminds me of one you would find at a yard sale or flee market that noone knew the real worth of it
